Greenestbeans.com allows consumers to easily identify products with desired attributes in four different product families. In some cases, producers specify selected attributes, others are subject to independent verification from an impartial third party. Where possible, we confirm producer claims with certifying organizations or we undertake additional research to confirm their claims. Descriptions of each of our attributes and the product family to which they apply can be found below along with some of the seals we look for to validate the information.

All Natural		Minimally processed products which do not contain artificial or synthetic substances. There is currently no FDA definition for “All Natural”.	FDA Meaning of Natural on Food Label
Antibiotic Free		Meat and poultry raised without the use of antibiotics	USDA Meat and Poultry Labeling Terms
Dye Free		Products that do not contain artificial colors
Free Range		Meat or poultry products, including eggs, that come from an animal that was raised in the open air or was free to roam	USDA Meat and Poultry Labeling Terms
Non-GMO		Products made without the use of GMO ingredients. Since mandatory labeling laws for GMO products do not currently exist in the US, the only way to ensure that you are purchasing products which do not contain GMO ingredients is to choose those which are certified organic or verified by the Non-GMO Project.
Gluten Free		Products that do not contain an ingredient that is either: a) a gluten containing grain, or b) derived from a gluten containing grain that may or may not have been processed to remove gluten	Meaning of Non-GMO Project Verified Seal

Grass Fed		Animals raised for meat or dairy receive 100% grass-based feed
High Fructose Corn Syrup Free		Products that do not contain high fructose corn syrup

Kosher		Certified by a Rabbi to conform to Jewish dietary laws
Lactose Free		Products that do not contain lactose
Locally Grown		Food grown within a 100 mile radius of the search zip code (Early stages of development)

Pesticide Free		Products containing ingredients that are grown without the use of pesticides
